So, I know I'm a little late on this... But our lives have been on a roller coaster the last few months. I plan to catch up on our blog but first off, we want everyone to know our baby girl was born on January 19^th, 2011 at 12:49 A.M. She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces, and was 20 inches long! We love her so much and are so excited she is finally here! These are a few pictures from the hospital. ENJOY!!!

Kevin and I were a little depressed a few months ago, when we started thinking about our plans and what we were going to do for Christmas this year... We both knew it was going to be a sad time for us because we were going to be away from both of our families! We knew that this year wasn't going to be the same or what we were used too... But I'm so close to my due date, the doctor told me that he didn't want me traveling anymore after Thanksgiving... We couldn't be more grateful for Kevin's Aunt & Uncle that live in American Fork, to take us in and let us spend Christmas with them and their family!!!

Christmas is around the conner, and we couldn't be more excited for family, fun and good food! We have 4 days of work left and then 2 whole weeks off! We have some friends from Oregon flying in tomorrow that we haven't seen in awhile and have activity's planned with some of Kevin's family the rest of the week!!! Kevin & I both love this time of year and couldn't be more excited for Christmas to come!!!

We went to another doctor's appointment this last Wednesday! We got to see our baby peanut and couldn't believe how much bigger she is from the last time we saw her on the ultrasound screen. She is measuring right where she should be and her fluid level looks great! She is head down and ready for whenever she decideds to join us! I started having some contractions last night... which got Kevin and I a little nervous.. We decided that we should probably have things ready to go and my hospital bag packed just in case within these next couple days, she decideds to join us! Our doctor did say that she could come anytime now!!! We have another appointment with Dr. Minor next Tuesday, and will hopefully have some more good news to share! Kevin and I can't feel more blessed and couldn't be happier about this little bundle of joy coming into our lives! We are so excited and ready to be parents!!!

On To Weekly Visits!!!

I had another doctor’s appointment today!!! We are now starting the weekly doctor visits which means, the time is getting closer and closer till we finally get to meet our little gummy bear!!! Kevin is so excited!!! He keeps telling me that he’s ready for her to be here already and is hoping she comes sooner rather than later. I’m also very excited to meet our little girl but to tell you the truth, I’m dreading the labor and delivery… (I wish I had a fast forward button I could use to skip that part along with all the pain I have to go through to get her out of me.) I can’t believe our little girl could be here any day now! We have another appointment set up with our doctor next week, along with another ultrasound!!! I’m hoping she will come out of hiding and stop being shy! With every ultrasound we’ve had since the beginning, she turns away and hides so we can’t see her face… Hopefully next week, we will get to see who she looks like more! We are so grateful for this little miracle coming into our lives and we can’t feel more blessed. We love her so much already and can’t wait for her to join us whenever she’s ready!!!

I really do have the most sweetest, most caring and the world's best husband!!!! This last week I was telling Kevin that I needed someone to paint my toenails for me, because it's getting harder for me to bend over and see my toes with my belly in the way. I guess when I told him that, he thought I was telling him that he needed to do it. Haha!!!!!!!!! So last night, Kevin got everything out and gave me a full pedicure!!! I told him that he didn't need to do it... but he insisted! He said, he felt sorry for me having to carry the weight of our baby around for 9 months, never feeling good, and someday's not being able to bend down to tie my own shoes. I know he loves me, but I never thought I would see the day that I would see Kevin paint my toe or fingernails for me! I love my husband so much and am so grateful that I have him in my life! He's the best husband and I know will be the best father for our daughter!!!

Arizona Roadtrip!

Kevin and I have decided to head down to Arizona this Wednesday for Thanksgiving weekend!!! We are having to drive, which kind of stinks...but we are very grateful for the time that we both have off from work and school and are able to spend it with family. This will really be our first Holiday with Kevin's parents since we have been married!!!!! (When we got married, Mom & Dad Scott were serving a 2 year mission in England!) So for the last couple years we have spent it with my family up in Oregon. Kevin and I are so excited and can't wait for Thanksgiving!!!

33 Weeks!!!

33 weeks pregnant and only 7 weeks left to go!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by! I had another doctor's appointment this morning and everything went really well. Our little weasel is doing great and she is still very active, healthy and right on track!

I have been super tired lately and can't wait till I’m done with work in the next few weeks. I seem to get a good 9 hours of sleep every night, but still seem to have to take a nap in the middle of the day before I go to work. And then by the time I get home from work, I’m so tired, I sometimes don't eat dinner and go straight to bed.

My belly is growing more and more every day! Our doctor says that she’s measuring a bit small right now but may gain some weight these last few weeks. But other than that, everything is right on track and everything looks good!

Kevin and I are still thinking of names... It's been rough trying to pick out a name for our daughter when we both want something totally different. I like the more traditional names and Kevin thinks we should name her something unique and different. I keep trying to tell him that as a child, it's hard growing up with a unique and different name in school... Trust me, I know... haha! But then Kevin says, try having 4 or 5 different Kevin's in your class... We know that our daughter will be special and beautiful either way, but trying to find a name that we both can agree on has been very tough. (So if you have any ideas of little girl names, let us know!!!!) But we both have agreed that, we probably wont decide on a name until we get to meet her and see what she looks like. (From the ultrasounds we have had in the last couple months, it looks like she will have Kevin's eyes and my nose!) But we will see in just 7 more weeks!!!

I have 8 WEEKS left at my job!!! My last day of work will be December 23rd, 2010. I can't believe it's so close! The time is flying by and our sweet baby girl will be here before we know it. Kevin and I are so excited and can't wait to meet our little one! We had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything is right on track! My expected due date is still 1/11/11!!! She has a very strong heartbeat, healthy, and growing right on track. From what we can see from the ultrasounds, it looks like she has Kevin's eyes and my nose. She is perfect!!! I have another doctor's appointment in 3 weeks and then we start meeting with our doctor every 2 weeks! Baby girl Scott will be here in no time!!!

We had another ultrasound this morning for them to retake measurements of our little girl! Since I have FINALLY reached my last trimester, my doctor wanted to make sure that our little girl is still on track with our expected due date and that every thing is still growing and developing properly on time.
So, every time I know that I have a doctor’s appointment coming up, I get so anxious the day before! I can’t help but think of our little one and wonder if she’s still doing okay… I think of the worst things that could go wrong… So we walk into the hospital, check in, and then get escorted to our patient’s room. I lay down on the table, and before the ultrasound technician can say anything, Kevin and I look and see our little girl on the ultrasound monitor and we both feel this overwhelming feeling of comfort and know that she’s okay and doing very well! I think the first stages of parenthood are starting to set in… I looked at Kevin and knew everything was going to be okay!
I love being able to see our little girl and know that she’s growing well and getting ready to come into this world. Every time we have an ultrasound done, I am just amazed at how much she has grown and developed since the last ultrasound. I am so grateful for our little girl and can’t wait to meet her!!!

I can't believe I only have 14 more weeks being Prego!!! Time has gone by so fast... And I know after my Birthday next week and with the holidays around the conner, I know time is going to fly by! Our little girl will be here before we know it!!! We can't wait too meet our baby girl and can't wait for her to join us. 14 more weeks to rest up and get all the sleep I can!!!

I have finally felt my baby girl move for the first time!!! It started to scare me when my doctor started asking me at 16 weeks, if I have felt my baby move at all? I asked, should I be feeling her move?... I guess some women start feeling there baby move and kick at 16 weeks but he told me not to worry if I didn’t since this was my first… Since then, I have been scared every week, because I wasn’t feeling anything! Not one little flutter… I kept telling Kevin, something has to be wrong with our little girl. I haven’t felt our baby move and I’m 22 weeks! What’s weird is that we would have an ultrasound every two weeks and we could see her moving and kicking, I just couldn’t feel it… And two weeks ago, I felt her move and kick for the first time! Last night, Kevin and I were sitting and watching t.v. and actually saw her move in my stomach through my t-shirt! I think Kevin finally started to realize that his daughter is growing and getting bigger and it’s just not me getting fatter... Haha!!! It’s becoming more and more real everyday that our daughter will be here in just 4 short months! We are both very excited and can’t wait to meet our little girl!!!

The End Of Our Summer!!!

Kevin just finished up his last SUMMER semester at BYU today!!! By this time next year Kevin will be graduated from college!!! He gets 2 long weeks off before Fall semester starts the end of August. These last 2 weeks have been very long, stressful, and we both have not gotten a whole lot of sleep. So we have decided to go out tonight and treat ourselves to dinner and a movie! I always love date night Friday's!!! (It reminds us back when we were in High School and every Friday night after the football games, we would go out with all our friends to Red Robin for dinner and then go to the movies!) No matter what we are doing or where we are, it always seems to bring us closer together and re-light that spark that we have for eachother! Yayyyy DATE NIGHT!!!!!!

*One week from today we will be able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl!!! Kevin still thinks we our having a girl, and i'm still leaning towards a boy! Either way, we will both be very excited!!!

Starting Scrapbooking Again!

I have decided to start scrapbooking again! Yayy!!! I have taken time off the last 5 months from scrapbooking because I don't ever seem to have time anymore... When we moved to Utah this last January, life got way toooo busy. I started working full time and now being 4 1/2 months pregnant, the time I do have I'm sleeping because I'm tired or sick 24 hours of everyday!!! Second, Kevin and I never see eachother. We have completely different hours during the week. I just don't ever have enough time to just sit down for a good few hours, lay out all my craft and scrapbooking tools on the table and sit and work on our family scrapbook album, without any drama or errands that have to be done. I know it will only get more busy when the baby comes but I'm hoping to get all caught up on this years album, so that when December comes around so I can start the new baby album!!! So wish me luck, you know what I will be doing this weekend. Haha!!!

So I know I have been slacking the last few weeks with this blog. But Kevin and I have been super busy lately... Kevin has 2 weeks left of his summer term in school and has been loaded every week with homework and papers. He just had midterms last week and did very well. I really don't have a good reason except for working full time and being 4 1/2 months pregnant. I have been really lazy lately and have been sleeping a total of 12 hours a day! I sleep for about 9-10 hours a night and then by the time I wake up and run a couple errands and clean the house, I'm tired again by lunch time and have to take a nap before I go to work! Sometimes my body feels like I have had the flu (with the body aches, sleeping a lot) but really I'm just sleepy all the time and don't ever feel like doing anything.
The pregnancy is going well. At my last doctors appt. my doctor seemed to be a little worried with my weight. I have lost a total of 20 pounds in the last 3 months and can't seem to gain any weight. He wasn't so worried when I was in my first trimester and having the morning sickness, he said it was kind of normal to loose some weight in the first few months. But now that I’m over the morning sickness and can actually eat a full meal again, he seemed to be worried with the reason why I'm not gaining more weight. So he has me coming into the hospital every 2 weeks to weigh in!!! I'm hoping the baby is healthy and is doing well. (My doctor didn't seem to worry much about the baby.) He said it's still pretty small and is taking whatever it needs from me. But the GOOD NEWS is that we have another doctor’s appt. on August 13th! And this appt. is the one at the actual hospital where we will have the big ultrasound machine that will be able to take still pictures of the baby and get the measurements of the baby as well. We also get to find out the gender of the baby!!!! August 13th will be such an exciting day that we will never forget!!!

P.S. I haven't forgotten to post the pictures of our family reunion's from the past few weeks, but I have to wait till I have time to upload about 50 pictures! haha! They should be up shortly!!!

Weight Loss!

Soooo... in 2 months I have actually lost 16 pounds!!! Which is a good thing for me, since I was a 10 pounds overweight since I got married 2 years ago. Since being prego, I have stuck to a very limited diet. Not because I have wanted too, but because my stomach and nose have decided what I can and cannot eat these last few months. I am back to the weight I was when Kevin and I started dating and he got home from his mission 4 years ago! It makes me happy knowing that I'm at the weight I have wanted to be back at for the last few years. But in the back of my mind I keep telling myself to enjoy it while I can now because in a few months I will be bigger and very much pregnant. But they say you are only suppost to gain 20 pounds to your whole pregnancy, so losing those 16 pounds put me at a head start! Instead of having to lose 30 pounds (the baby weight plus the extra 10 pounds I wanted to lose) after having a baby, I will only have to lose 20!!! :)

Kevin and I are going on Vacation! We leave tomorrow morning for Bear Lake!!! We have a family reunion this weekend and the whole family will be there! I will be taking lots and lots of pictures! I can't wait to have 4 days off!!! I will be laying out be the pool, four wheeling, boating and playing with all my cute nieces and nephews! :)

If you couldn't tell by the picture, our little Scott Family is growing by 2 more (little) feet!!! Kevin and I just found out that we are expecting a baby!!! I am about 2 1/2 months along and the baby and I are doing great! The estimated due date right now is January 11th, 2011! We go in for another ultra sound this Friday and should have a closer estimated due date and hopefully some pictures of our little one! Kevin and I couldn't be happier or more excited! We can't wait!!!

This weekend, Kevin & I will be heading to Colorado! I am so excited!!!! I get to spend the weekend with my whole FAMILY!!! This will be the first time my whole family has been together in 4 years!!! I haven't seen one of my sister's since 2006 and my nephew who is 2 years old, that I have never gotten to meet. I will be posting lots of pictures!!!

Aslyn is going on a DIET!!!!!!! My husband keeps telling me that I don't need to go on a diet and that I'm perfect the way I am, which is very sweet of him to say... But I have been recently been shopping for spring and summer clothes and relized before I start buying all new clothes for summer time, I need to slim down a bit and get rid of some of this winter coat I have been carrying around from the Holidays. I have a goal to lose 10 pounds before summer is here! Kevin and I pulled into our apartment complex the other day and saw the management team outside scraping and scrubbing the sides of the pool and hot tub! Which means they are getting it ready for the summer! I can't wait to lay out by a pool again, relax and play in the sun!!!! Spring is here and Summer is around the corner! Hopefully I can make my goal of 10 pounds in time. Wish me luck!!!

I LOOOOVVVVEEEE FRIDAY NIGHTS!!! I look forward to them all week long. Kevin surprises me every week with something fun and exciting! It's our little tradition and I love it!!! When I got off work tonight, Kevin came to pick me up and suprised me with a single long stem red rose! He is the sweetest husband ever!!! He decided tonight we would cook dinner at home together and then meet up with two of our really good friends, Danny & Brittany Dalton for dessert and then some cosmic bowling!!! I love my husband very much and can't wait to see what the future holds for us! He is my greatest blessing and i'm so thankful for all that he does for me. He is the love of my life and i'm so happy he picked me!!! I LOVE YOU KEV!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you Spring???

Kevin and I are ready for Spring to be here! We can't wait for long walks and bike rides in the evenings at sunset, sprintime picnics in the parks, and of course roadtrips! But before I get too excited about it, let me tell you how our day went today... I don't think Spring is around our corner anytime soon. Our morning started off great!!! We woke up and got ready for the day and were off to run some errands before school and work. It was a beautiful day... It was 60 degrees outside and the sun was shinning. We never thought we would need a jacket or a coat. A couple hours later it started getting very cold and windy. And then the rain came and then of course the snow... It snowed for about 3 hours straight, and then finailly let up a little bit. Only in Utah can it snow when its 60 degrees outside! haha! Kevin and I hate the snow and have both agreed that it's the only thing bad about living in Utah. We probably should of worn a coat or jacket today...We can't wait for Spring to get here!!!

So... it's official!!! I am now the full-time Front Desk Manager for Provo College!!! I work in the evenings Monday through Friday from 2-9 PM and then, every other Saturday morning from 9- 1. This schedule actually works out great for both Kevin and I!!! We are night people and like staying up late, plus Kevin works in the evenings also from 10-2 AM up on campus. So now, we can both be on the same sleeping schedule. Haha! We are so happy and so blessed, and are loving being back in Utah!!!!!

1. We both have really good jobs.

2. Kevin is starting down his career path as a Computer Engineer and is loving school!

3. And we are surrounded by lots of good friends and we couldn't be happier!!!

Christmas this year was a little tough for us... With packing up all our stuff from my mom's house, saying our goodbyes to both of our families, and moving to back to Utah, there just wasn't a whole lot of Christmas cheer going around. We were very said to leave Oregon... We loved being so close to our families this past year and it was one of the greatest blessings. But, it was time for us to go and leave Oregon and finish school. We moved back to Provo, so Kevin can finish up and graduate from BYU. He's so excited to be back in a classroom, with real teachers and other students. The past year, Kev has been taking online classes as a full time student, while working full time. He's been so excited about all his classes and has finally found a major that he loves! We can't wait to start a new life in Utah and are so excited of all the things to come!

WE FOUND A PLACE TO LIVE!!!

Kevin and I call it a blessing!!! We have been looking for months and months at different apartments in Provo and Orem. And to tell you the truth I was getting a little scared knowing we needed to move in a month and still no ideas where we were going to live... I thought we were going to be homeless for awhile. As most of you know, the housing in Provo isn't the greatest.. But our number one priority on our list, was being in a safe location. Kevin will be working nights when we head back to Utah and he wanted some place where he knew I would be safe. So one night last week, Kevin and I were sitting in our room looking at places to live. Keeping in mind that we needed to find something in the next week or so... We both had idea places that we wanted to live but were out of our price range. We ended up making a list of things we both wanted in an apartment, but knew we couldn't be too picky when it comes to Provo. We both got so frustrated with the whole thing, we started getting frustrated at eachother! By this point we stopped looking for apartments and said that we really needed to just have faith. So we said our prayers that night and asked heavenly father to help us and guide us to where we needed to be. The next morning, Kevin went off to work and I got up and got ready for the day not even thinking about looking for housing. I was checking my email that next morning and just thought i would peek at craigslist and see if anything had changed from the night before. (I wasn't getting my hopes up...) But the paged opened and the first thing i saw was the apartment complex that Kevin and I both LOVED was having a huge special!!!!!! I got really excited and decided to keep reading through the post. I couldn't believe it!!!! The place we both really wanted to live, that was in the best location, but was out of our price range, dropped their rent on the 1 bedrooms by $100!!!!! I was so excited! I called Kevin at work and he told me to go ahead and call the apartment, fill out the application and put the deposit down on it. Good thing I called when I did... they only had one apartment left that had that special! We are both really excited about our new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got approved for the apartment and are all ready to move in on the 30th of this month! The only thing we didn't like about this is that we are needing to move in 2 weeks!!! SCAREY!!!!!!!!! We have started packing up everything at my mom's house and have planned to head down there the 28th of November. This was a huge blessing for us and we couldn't be more grateful!!!

Kevin, Mia and I had an (okay) Halloween this year. I was a little disappointed... But in the end everything worked out okay! So, Kevin promised me at the beginning of the month on my birthday that we would do all the fun Halloween traditions together this year! He knew that it meant A LOT to me because this is one of my favorite holidays! Some of the traditions we talked about were...(Going to a pumpkin patch and picking our pumpkins, craving pumpkins, decorating the house, watching old and creepy Halloween movies, dressing up, and passing out candy to all the kids that came by our house!) I was so excited for this year to see all the kids in their cute and scary costumes, since last year we lived in a huge apartment complex on the third floor and the youngest kids that lived there were college students... Well... I'm sad to say out of all the fun Halloween traditions we had planned on doing, we were only able to actually participate in 2 out of the 6 on our list...

FIRST forget the pumpkin patch because of the rain... Kevin was NOT up for walking around in the rain for 30 minutes to buy a pumpkin...

SECOND, Kevin was also really was not up for craving pumpkins this year at all, because he would have to clean the mess up. We also didn't do this last Halloween either! I was not a happy person...

THIRD, I ended up doing all the decorations on the inside and outside of the house by myself... with NOOOOO help!!!!

FOURTH, last year, Kevin loved renting all the old scary movies and watching them with me. I was so excited that this year was going to be a repeat of that! But no... For some reason he wanted nothing to do with anything that involved scary movies! (I just don't get how all of a sudden things could change in one year...) I think I called him a baby about 100 times in the whole month of October! Haha!!!

FIFTH, Forget dressing up! I couldn't even get Kevin to even dress as a crazy NFL fan and wear all his AZ Cardinals stuff! He wanted nothing to do with dressing up for all the kids that came to our house. Sad huh?...

SIXTH, at the end of the night Kevin did end up participating in helping me pass out candy to all the kids... (and eating about half of the candy we bought!) I do admit i was a little angry with him about how our Halloween was going, but by the end of the night and after the Oregon football game was over, he was very helpful. Thanks Kev!

(We ended up finding the cutest little outfit for Mia to wear on Halloween. It ended up being the last of the dog costumes in the store and was missing a head piece for it, but knowing my dog she would only kept the whole outfit and costume on for a total of 2 minutes anyways. So we ended up going ahead and getting it for her. It was on clearance and was only for $3!!! It ended up fitting her perfect and she was so adorable in it!!!)

I fly out to Utah today! My best friend Gina, is getting married in the Salt Lake Temple this Saturday. I'm so excited for her! Married life is the greatest!!! But, this will be the first time Kevin and I have been away from each other since we got married... I'm not going to lie, we both got a little emotional when we had to say our goodbyes this morning. While I'm gone, he is in charge of running the house and taking care of the dog. I know he won't have any problems, but fixing himself something to eat maybe a little difficult. Haha! I know he wont starve because he is the type of person that could eat a box of cereal for every meal... yuck! I will update our blog when I get back home on Monday and i will let you all know how things went.

My 22nd BIRTHDAY!!!

So, this last Friday was my 22nd birthday, and I have to admit it was the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! Kevin had work off on Friday and so we got to spend the whole day together! (It was the best!!!) My day started out with Kevin waking me up with breakfast in bed! (He called it, Kevin's Breakfast Cafe!) He brought into our room a breakfast menu that he typed up and a princess crown! He said, I am his Princess and I could have whatever I wanted today! (How sweet is that!?!) After breakfast, Kevin and I got ready for the day and then he took me to the mall for a shopping spree! I love shopping and I was so excited. After that we spent the rest of the day going to all our favorite places around Portland. Later that night, he surprised me by taking me out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! The food there was pretty yummy and I was so stuffed by the end of our meal, but somehow the word got out to the restaurant and everyone that worked there, that it was my birthday! They brought over a piece of cheesecake with a candle and sang "happy birthday" to me! It was a little embarrassing having a bunch of random people singing and staring at me, but it was fun! I couldn't thank Kevin enough for everything he did for me. He put so much thought and hard work into planning my birthday for me. I am so grateful to have Kevin as my husband and for everything he does for me. He really made it the BEST birthday ever!

Kevin and I got to spend last Saturday out at the golf course!!! Growing up as a kid, I kind of lived on a golf course. My family and I lived out on a nice resort where there were tons of swimming pools, tennis courts, a golf course and a lake! (And everything was walking distance for me!) I told Kevin on the way there, some of the stories of me growing up and taking golf camps during the summers. He didn't believe me and thought I was making the whole thing up... He said, "he doesn't see me as the golfer type of girl." (whatever that means...) I never knew there was a golfer type... Anyways, Kevin and I decided to try out the driving range first. Kevin wanted to make things interesting, so we decided to make it into a little competition.

1. Who could drive the ball the furthest?

2. Who had the best accuracy?

3. And who had the best form?

Well, lets just say that I destroyed Kevin!!!! I drove the ball the furthest, had the best accuracy, and had the best form! I knew I was going to destroy him when he told me, the last time he went golfing he had trouble with swinging the golf club like a baseball bat! Kevin has now decided to go every Saturday until he gets better. I'm just happy that we have found another thing that we both really enjoy doing together as a couple!

For our anniversary Kevin and I were able to leave Oregon for the weekend and drive up to Seattle, Washington! He surprised me and took me to a hotel that was right on the waterfront in downtown Seattle and planned the whole weekend out for us! We had so much fun!!! We were able to spend the day walking through downtown, Pikes place and the aquarium. He then took me to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, which is our favorite restaurant! I love my husband so much! I will never forget our weekend in Seattle and our first anniversary together!!!

So this past weekend was Aslyn's and my one year anniversary! I can't believe it has been one year since I got hitched to my sweetheart! I love her so much and am so incredibly grateful that she is my wife. She really is the best! She is such and inspiration to me and she helps me be a better person and a better husband. I love how she is so patient with me, and how she is so forgiving with me and everyone around her. I love how passionate, dedicated and strong she is. I love that she is always there for me and how she makes me happy everyday of my life. I love how she loves her family, and how she knows the importance of family in our lives. I love how she will talk to me about sports and things I love even though I know she isn't that interested in them. I love her faithfulness in the gospel, that she reminds me to put our trust in the lord always. I love that she tries to look for the best in everything and everyone, i love that when she smiles she lights up my life. I love that she is my best friend and my everything. She is the cornerstone of our family and I love her so much. This past week, Kevin and I have been looking for housing in Provo. Let's just say, we haven't been very productive. Married housing in Provo is ridiculous! You either pay a high amount per month for a decent apartment or you take your chances and pay the not so high rent amount with holes in the wall and bugs! We have been so fustrated the past couple weeks. Someone really needs to re-evaluate approved housing, specially married housing...

As some of you already know, Kevin and I were surprised a couple weeks ago with a 10 week old puppy! My mom had bought me something that I have been wanting of my own since I was a little girl. Her name is Mia Scott and she is a long haired chihuahua. She weighs 1 pound and 4 ounces. She will not get over 3-4 pounds fully grown. Kevin and I love her dearly and are so happy to have her apart of our life!

SCRAPBOOKING!!!

Most of you know that i have been trying to start scrapbooking. A couple weeks ago, Megan took me to a store in Beaverton that was going out of buisness, so everything in the store was 50-80% off! It was great!!! I was so excited, I ended up getting everything that i needed to start my first scrapbook for under $20. That was including tons of paper, stickers, glue, 2 photo albums and ribbon! I was so happy to start a new project.

So the last couple nights after dinner, i have tried to sit down and work on my scrapbook for a couple hours. It is coming along really great. And i am so excited to see it when it's all finished. Kevin got to see a little bit of it last night and was very proud of me! I will keep all of you updated on how the progress goes the rest of the way.

Valentines Day!

So as most of you know, Kevin is NOT into Valentines day... He told me growing up he never really understood why they made one day out of the year, to celebrate the love you have for that special someone in your life. He says, "Valentines day is pointless because you should always show your love for that special person in your life and NOT just one day out of the year." After he said that to me, it made me stop and realize he was right! This one day out of the year is pointless when you think about it that way. It also made me stop and realize how grateful i am for Kevin. Being married now for almost 8 months have been the best 8 months of my life. Before Kevin and I started dating a few years ago, my life always felt empty. Having Kevin apart of my life and sharing everyday with him is such a blessing for me. I love him with all my heart! And i am so happy he picked me to spend all eternity with!!!

The Urgent Care...

This past week has not been fun for me... Last Sunday I woke up with a 103 fever and had the worst cough in the world! Yup, that's right everyone... I caught the flu bug again!!!! I cried like a little baby all day and was hoping this was only going to be a 24 hour flu bug, like the last one. I don't think I was one of the lucky ones... I went to sleep that night and woke up every hour with the horrible night sweats and a cough that would not leave me alone. The next day I felt a little better, but not good enough to go to work. I called in sick and pretty much slept all day long. That whole day Kevin ran around trying to get whatever would make me feel better. He hates when I'm sick and hates to know I'm in pain. I wont lie, I seriously needed something every 5 minutes. Kevin literally never sat down for more than 5 minutes. I felt bad, but he knows I would of done the same things for him if he was sick.

The second day went by still feeling the same. My fever was staying at a constant 102 was not going down. I must have taken 5 different showers that day trying to breath in all the hot steam I could. But no matter what I tried, nothing was working. 42 hours with this fever and the flu bug in my body was miserable. That night I started feeling a little better and I got my temperature down to 99.6 which was a lot better then 102 for 2 days straight! That night I went to sleep and slept for a little while longer then the first night but still woke up around 3 o'clock not feeling that good. We took my temperature again and it had gone back up to 102!!!!! I was not happy... This was the third day with this bug and for some reason it wouldn't leave my body! 72 hours went by and Kevin started to worry about me a little bit and had decided to take me to the urgent care by our house. We got the doctors and signed me in. Then waited for them to call me back, which ended up being about a half an hour. The doctor checked me out and ran a couple of different test on me. After waiting about an hour.... All they could tell me was, it is a viral thing and I just had to wait and let it pass. But they couldn't give me an antibiotic to help because it had already been over 72 hours, the antibiotic wouldn't help me at all... I was so mad! They doctor did nothing!!!! All she gave me was a prescription for some cough medicine. I seriously thought there was no hope for me... I told Kevin I was never going back to that urgent care... They were no help!

Last night I took some cough medicine and took some more Tylenol and went to bed. This morning I woke up and am feeling 100% better!!! I was so happy this bug was gone! Finally I can sleep like a normal person again! Haha!

A Quick Update...

Hi Everyone! I know i haven't written on our blog in awhile... And I know our family and friends are probably wondering if we are even still alive... Just to let everyone know we are ok and still alive. Thing are going well here in Arizona. Since we have gotten back from Christmas break, Kev and I have been pretty busy. Well, lets say I have been pretty busy.. Kevin hasn't even started his second semester of school yet! Haha! Arizona State ended up giving the students like a month off from school over the Holidays. So the last couple weeks while I have been getting up and going to work everyday, Kevin has been sleeping in and laying around our house. I got jealous a few times, those early mornings when my alarm was going off, yelling at me to get up! haha!

Something else really exciting that has happened, is that I have started a new work schedule. I get off early Tuesday and Thursday afternoons now, which is so nice being able to come home at noon and spend the rest of the day with Kevin. It will also be nice for him come school starts too! Since i will be off early, he wont have to ride the city bus on those days or walk home from school. I will be home early enough that he can just take the car. Kevin is really excited to start his second semester of school. He starts tomorrow and is excited about his classes this semester! I love him so much and am so proud of him!!!

Exciting Week!

This has been a really exciting week for the little Scott family! There were some big things that happend this weekend! Kevin and I both love this time of year. People putting up Christmas lights, family gatherings, and of course you can't forget about the Christmas music that gets played everywhere you go! This has been such an exciting week for Kev and I that we decided that we wanted to share it with everyone!

This Thursday was Thanksgiving!!! Kev and I both had a lot to be thankful for this year. We knew it was going to be different this year, being away from both of our parents, but we were grateful that we were getting to spend this year with each other. But not only was it just Thanksgiving, it was also Cooper's 4th birthday! That afternoon we went and enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at a beautiful resort here in Arizona. The food was amazing and it was nice spending the day with family. After lunch, we went to see a movie for Coopers birthday. We ended up watching the movie "Bolt". I've never laughed so hard ever in a movie before! Kevin and I both loved it and enjoyed spending time with Cooper on his birthday. After the movie we headed over to Aunt Kristy's for cake and ice cream! Cooper ended up having 4 or 5 different cakes or pies to choose from! He didn't know which one to eat first! Haha! Kev and I had a great Thanksgiving!

Later on that night Kevin and I had a lot of fun looking through the Black Friday ads and finding all the good deals! It is kinda a tradition in my family, that the day after Thanksgiving all the girls wake up super early and go shopping! Well... this year was a little different. I wasn't able to be with my family this year so i dragged Kev along with me! hehe! I love him so much! He was such a trooper through it all and was such a big help through all those big crowds.

The next day was Kevin's BIG 24th!!! I surprised him when he woke up with the house decorated with streamers and balloons everywhere and breakfast already made! Kev was so happy! After breakfast, Kev couldn't wait to open his gifts for me! I tried to talk him into waiting till later on that night but he just couldn't wait. I got Kev a couple of the Nike dri- fit t-shirts that he has been wanting for awhile, but i ended up getting him the wrong size. So we got ready for the day and went to the mall to exchange them. Kevin and I both love shopping. No matter if it's for him or for me or for the house. He will go with me every time I want to go. I never have to worry about ever going shopping alone. haha! After the mall Kev got to choose where we got to go for lunch. Then after lunch we went to go pick up Kev's cake from the Cheesecake Factory! He was so excited that he tried eating and picking at the cake all the way over to Ryan and Sarah's that night. We went over there later that night for cake and gifts. Kevin had such a good time hanging out with his family and enjoying everyone's company. Later on that night, I took Kevin miniature golfing at Golfland! We had so much fun golfing and spending time together. On the way there Kev made me a deal that, whoever won had to wake up extra early Sunday morning and make breakfast. I thought to myself, poor Kevin... He's going to have to wake up early before church and make me breakfast... I was the one that had to wake up extra early and make breakfast! haha! The little weasel beat me by 2 points! Overall Kevin had an amazing birthday and loved spending the whole day together!

So there was our busy but very exciting weekend! We are so grateful for eachother and specially for family. They really do mean a lot to us!

The D-Backs Game!

Kevin and I finally got the opportunity to go see a major league baseball game yesterday. Kevin has been to a couple of baseball games before with his family, but i have never been to a big major league game before. It was so exciting!!! Kevin's brother Ryan, gave us two gift cards for the Diamondbacks and we were able to go and watch one of their last games of the season! The place we were wanting to sit was the, all you can eat section. The seats weren't that great in the section but you got all you can eat hot dogs, nachos, soda pop, popcorn & peanuts! We thought that was a pretty good deal. But when we got there, the only seats they had left were way up top! Kevin decided instead of getting the all you can eat food, we would just pay the extra $12 and get great seats, so that I could have a really fun experience at my first major league game.

The Game was AWESOME!!!! We had so much fun together! Kevin bought me some soft-served ice cream that came in a little D-Backs helmet! He is so sweet!!! I will never forget going to my first major league game!

A Quick Update!

As some of you know, I started my new job this last week! Things have been going really well for Kevin and I lately. I am loving my new job! Not only do I get to be a receptionist full-time for one of the top physical therapy clinics in Arizona, but also get to watch and learn the physical therapy world too! I am having so much fun and love learning new things everyday.

Kevin is doing awesome in school this semester!!! At the beginning, he was a little nervous that he wasn't going to understand a few of his classes. Turns out, almost half way through the semester, Kevin has the highest grade in almost all of his classes!!!!!! CONGRATS KEV!!!!!!!! I am so proud of you!!!!!!!!

We are so grateful for eachother and for all the many blessings. We know we couldn't of done some of the things we have accomplished thus far, in our lives without having one another there to lean on for support. I am so grateful for Kevin and all the things he does for me, and for his strength and being such a good role model for me. He has been my best friend since I was 14 years old. Getting married and making that commitment to eachother, i now get to have my best friend with me for time and all eternity!!!!!!

This week has been very exciting for Aslyn. She had an interview last Tuesday for Ahwatukee Physical Therapy to be there full-time Receptionist! After the interview she came home feeling really good about the interview and about the people she would be working with. They explained to her that they were going to be interviewing with a couple more people for the position throughout this week and that they would let her know about the job by the end of the week. Thursday came around and she started getting a little nervous.. She waited by the phone all day and didn't hear anything. Until 6pm rolled around and she got a phone call!!! It was her boss offering her the job! She was so happy and so excited about this position. She wont just be a receptionist but her boss will be training her also in Physical Therapy. We are so very grateful for this job coming at the right time and we know our prayers were answered.
